Kala M.I.A. - August 2007

This is an album cover by M.I.A. and the reason why I chose for this week's blog is due to the topic: creativity. This album is very creative with the pixelated text and African inspired color scheme. It kind of reminds me of a psychedelic design style with the color scheme and illegible type. M.I.A. said she was inspired by African and Indian car license and bumper stickers to make this. This was frowned upon by many designers for the many rules that were broken but what cannot be denied is its creativeness.
